In memory of the greatest conductor of all time, La Toscanini promotes talented young conductors with an International Conducting Competition named after him. This 12th edition falls on the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Arturo Toscanini Orchestra.

First elimination stage

Centro di Produzione Musicale “Arturo Toscanini” Viale Barilla 27/a, Parma, Italy

During the first elimination stage of the Toscanini Competition, which will take place from 31 August to 2 September 2025, the twelve selected competitors will be given one hour each to conduct and lead the assigned repertoire in a rehearsal with the orchestra.

Second Stage

Final Stage

On 5 and 6 September 2025, rehearsal sessions with the orchestra will be held at the Auditorium Paganini in Parma. During these sessions, the 3 finalist candidates will be assessed by the International Jury. This rehearsal will be open to the public.

Final Concert and Award Ceremony
